Inwido links another new loan agreement to its ESG performance
Inwido secures a new sustainability-linked credit agreement with Nordea, related to the reduction of CO\2\e emissions, energy-efficient products and a safe working environment.
Inwido has secured a sustainability-linked credit agreement with Nordea for a total of SEK 1.5 billion, which replaces an existing agreement of SEK 1.75 billion. The new credit has a term of three years with an extension option for a further two years.
With the new credit agreement, the profile of Inwido's total debt portfolio has been extended.
At the same time, it is in line with Inwido's short-term commitment under the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) to reduce absolute scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions by 42 percent by 2030 compared to the base year of 2022, and during the same time period to reduce absolute scope 3 GHG emissions by 25 percent.
The KPI’s are the core of Inwido's sustainability strategy and address ESG goals related to CO2e emissions, safe working environment and the share of the sale of windows and doors according to the EU Taxonomy's criterion of significantly contributing to limiting climate change.
- Sustainability is a central part of our strategy and culture. With our business, our products and how we act in society, we contribute to a sustainable future. Sustainability-related loans confirm that our strategy and our goals are ambitious and credible, says Fredrik Meuller, President and CEO of Inwido.
Inwido already has similar sustainability-related agreements with Handelsbanken and Svensk
Exportkredit for a total of approximately SEK 1.1 billion.
