The Outline factory in Farsö in Jutland has a "factory in the factory". A workplace with its very own pace of work and definite meaning. To give people a new chance for a developing and stimulating work, regardless of challenge or background.
Outline Plus gives people a second chance
Outline Plus was started in 2011 as a collaboration between Outline and the municipality of Vesthimmerland to help people enter or return to the labor market. It helps, for example, long-term sick people in need of work training or efforts to increase integration. Up to 31 people work simultaneously at the department, factory or administration, from four weeks up to three months. The tasks support Outline's production and the principle is that employees contribute valuable efforts to the larger team work, but according to their individual opportunities. Every year, a number of people from Outline Plus get permanent employment at Outline.
- We want to be a socially responsible company and contribute to the inclusive labor market in the region. We believe that all people have a value and can contribute to society no matter what challenges they may have, says Jens Sørensen, CEO of Outline.
Valuable work
The tasks include, for example, repairs, painting, packing, administration, etc. Every year, about 100 people participate in work training at Outline.
Jette Madsen and Lars Bech work with work management and are proud of the result produced by the department.
- It is valuable to be able to help people move forward in their development and we are proud to be able to do it together in our Plus department, says Jette Madsen at Outline Plus.
