Partnership for connected homes

Inwido is collaborating with IBM to maintain its leading position in the development of connected homes. Thanks to IBM Watson’s cloud-based IoT platform and AI services, we can now collect and analyze data in the home. This knowledge engenders unique conditions for Inwido to offer products that make life at home more secure and more comfortable.

Inwido is able to offer tomorrow’s products today, based on the latest intelligent technology. We are the first supplier of windows and doors in Europe offering this new type of connected products and services.

Every product will improve

IBM is a stable player in digitization and works proactively to minimize risks in its systems. For Inwido, collaborating with them means we can offer digital services to a greater extent and far more securely than previously.

“IBM Watson’s IoT makes it much easier for us to obtain a clearer picture of how customers use our products,” says Johan Ambuhm, VP Technology and Digital Development at Inwido. “Their cloud-based platform secures Inwido’s access to the data generated. It is also scalable, modular and offers operational compatibility between different systems. With a future-proof digital platform, I am convinced that all of our products will continuously improve.”

50 percent connected products in 2020

At Inwido, we aim to be at the forefront of our industry in the development of the connected home. We target at least 50 percent of our products being connectable in 2020. This imposes stringent demands on us, alongside others, developing new and relevant products that customers really want.

“We will be able to offer customized and digital services to a much greater extent than today,” says Johan Ambuhm. “This should be safe and secure, and eventually all products will build on the latest intelligent technology. In IBM Watson IoT, we have gained a committed partner, helping equip us for the future. Together we can build cutting-edge solutions with the functionality and user experiences that tomorrow’s customers will demand.”
