Buildings are the largest energy consumers in the EU, with 40 percent usage. Energy-efficient windows and doors are an important component in achieving climate goals. Energy requirement, stated as U-value, is 1.0 for windows and 1.2 for doors.

In 2025, 63 percent of Inwido’s eligible sales met the EU Taxonomy criteria for substantially contributing to climate change mitigation. The share of sales fully aligned with the EU Taxonomy remained stable at 15 percent.

Inwido is affiliated with the UN Global Compact and undertakes to actively work on sustainability issues and to report to the UN. The work is based on ten basic principles based on internationally accepted conventions on human rights, labor rights, the environment and anti-corruption.

Sustainalytics ESG ranking forms the basis for international fund managers decisions on investments in sustainable companies and rates according to risks in environmental, social and corporate governance.

In 2025, Inwido reported in accordance with CDP, achieving a B rating for Climate and a B- rating for Forestry. The ratings reflect Inwido’s continued focus on transparency and reducing its environmental impact.

Inwido supports the UN's goals for sustainable development, focusing on seven goals. Goal 3, Good health/ well-being, Goal 5, Gender equality, Goal 8, Decent work/economic growth, Goal 11, Sustainable cities/communities, Goal 12, Responsible consumption/production, Goal 13, Climate action, and Goal 17, Partnerships for sustainable development.

Inwido reports data in accordance with sustainability KPIs, such as carbon dioxide emissions. CDP reporting has become Inwido's main channel for describing climate footprints and collecting its reporting and follow-up of emissions and the like. Inwido performs at B, Management level, in CDP's ranking, the second highest level.
