Inwido acquires Pro Tec Windows in Denmark

April 29, 2011
Inwido, northern Europe’s largest provider of window and door solutions, today announces the acquisition of all shares in the Danish window company Pro Tec Windows. The acquisition strengthens Inwido’s position on the Danish market and will generate a platform for significant expansion possibilities as well as synergies with existing operations.

Pro Tec, which was founded by Bjarne Haulrik in 1993, sells and manufactures wood/aluminium and wood/glass fiber windows and doors for the Danish and UK markets. The products are highly valued especially among architects and smaller contractors in the industry segment. Especially interesting is the innovative way in which the products are integrated into the facade.

“Pro Tecs assortment of designed, energy efficient and design flexible windows and doors is timely. By acquiring Pro Tec we will increase our ability to provide innovative solutions in Denmark and our other European markets,” says Håkan Jeppsson, President and CEO of Inwido.

Pro Tec has approx. 140 employees and the production is placed in Holstebro, Denmark. Sales in 2010 amounted to approx. MDKK 170. The acquisition will provide significant synergies and create ample growth opportunities.

“To be in market-leading positions enables us to provide improved well-being for people, this is our mission. The acquisition of Pro Tec matches well our ambitions of launching new and innovative products,” says Håkan Jeppsson.

The acquisition is subject to approval from the relevant competition authorities.
